Yes, you can use this insurance for Visa Application or Extension at the embassy and in the aliens department (Ausländerbehörde).
The insurance meets the current valid requirements for a Schengen-Visa made by the decision of the European Union Council on 13.07.2009 and therefore can be used for Visa Application or Extension. The required minimum coverage of 30,000 Euro is ensured and is stated on the insurance policy.

Insurance documents: A few minutes after the Online Registration you will receive by email your insurance documents as PDF Files. These documents are needed for your doctor's appointment, but also for presentation at embassies, consulates and foreign authorities.

The insurance cover complies with the requirements for a Schengen Visa(Schengen Visum) made by the decision of the European Union Council on 13.07.2009. A few minutes after the Online Application you will receive by email your insurance documents as PDF Files. In the case you have also a german address, you will receive 3-5 workig days later all documents also per post in paper form. Please use these documents for the visa application or visa extension in the embassy, consulate, foreign authority or Border stations.

 

Formal Obligation (Verpflichtungserklärung) for Visa

The formal obligation (Verpflichtungserklärung) is the written obligation, you should do in Ausländerbehörde (foreign office) in order to invite your guest / visitors to Germany.
